GLENCOE, Ill. - The Purdue men's golf team is tied with Minnesota for fourth after two rounds at the Windon Memorial Classic in Glencoe, Ill. The Boilermakers have a team total of 573, after firing a 286 in the morning round and a 287 in the afternoon.
Kent State has the lead with a team score of 559, with one round to play. Host Northwestern is in second at 569 and Michigan is in third, totaling 572 after two rounds.
Junior Tom Oliver and freshman Maximo Kopp lead the Boilermakers individually, as both are tied for 17th at even par. Oliver fired a four-under par 67 in the first round and a 75 in the second for a total of 142. Kopp carded a 69, followed by a 73 to earn his 142.
Freshman Erich Johnston has a total of 147 after recording rounds of 75 and 72. He is tied for 39th.
Junior Michael Randle is tied for 47th with one round to play after rounds of 75 and 74. Freshman Nakarintra Ratanakul was disqualified in the first round but came back to shoot a three-below par 68 on Sunday afternoon.
The Boilermakers resume play with tee times beginning at 9:26 a.m. Eastern on Monday.
