WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue's Kampen Course, the site of the 2008 Men's NCAA Championships proved to be a tough test for much of the field on the opening day of the PING/Golfweek Preview in West Lafayette, Ind. Two of the tournament's three rounds were played on Saturday and tenth-ranked Oklahoma State fired the only below-par score, recording a 279 (-3) in the second round. "We got off to a slow start this morning, but bounced back in the afternoon with a solid round," head coach Devon Brouse said. "We are playing three freshmen who are improving every day and this tournament is a great opportunity for us because we are facing the best competition in the country."
