AUSTIN, Texas - Purdue finished 13th at the rain-shortened Morris Williams Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the par 72, 6906-yard Austin Country Club.
The 14-team field was scheduled to play two rounds, or 36 holes, on Monday, but rainy conditions in Austin, Texas suspended play less than halfway into the second round. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes.
Purdue fired a 296 on Tuesday and totaled 593 over the two rounds. Tenth-ranked UNLV won the event with a total of 568.
Freshman Vince Nadeau finished tied for 12th. Nadeau carded a three-over 75 on Tuesday. His opening round 68 gave him a total of 143.
Senior Peter Richardson had the low round of the day for the Boilermakers on day two. He fired a one-under par 71. His round included four birdies and three bogeys. He tied for 63rd overall with a two-day total of 152.
Senior Bobby Bennett followed up his first-round 73 with a two-over 74. His two-day total of 147 tied him for 33rd overall.
Sophomore Tom Oliver totaled 153 after a second-round 76. He tied for 67th. Big Ten Golfer of the Week Pariya Junhasavasdikul shaved five strokes off his first-round 81 on Tuesday. His total of 157 tied him for 72nd overall.
Purdue is in action again when it hosts the Boilermaker Invitational on April 7 and 8.
