WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Senior Amanda Miller kept her streak alive at the NCAA Championships, claiming her third-consecutive All-America certificate with a eighth-place finish off the 3-meter springboard Friday night.

Miller finished with 287.60 points. Her round-by-round totals were 58.05, 63.00, 52.50, 31.50, 39.15 and 43.40. Miller's best dive was a forward 2.5 somersault with twist, but was later hurt by scores from attempting a reverse 2.5 somersault and a reverse 1.5 somersault with 2.5 twists.

Miller earned her first All-America citation last season off the platform after she finished fifth at the University of Georgia with 296.90 points. Thursday at Minnesota, Miller placed fourth off the 1-meter springboard with a varsity record total of 340.20 points.

Cassidy Krug of Stanford won her second-straight national title of the weekend with 420.90 points. Hawaii's Nastia Podzniakova was runner-up with 407.10 points and Texas' Jessica Livingston came in third with 367.15 points.

If Miller can finish among the top eight on platform Saturday night at NCAA's, she will tie former teammate Carrie McCambridge's record for most All-American awards earned by any individual (swimmer or diver) in program history with four.

McCambridge won three All-America awards at the 2005 NCAA's hosted by Purdue, and received one last year off the 1-meter.

Sophomore Emily Wetzel will compete alongside Miller on the tower. Wetzel clinched her spot at NCAA's after taking third in this event at the diving zone meet in Ann Arbor, Mich., last weekend.

Senior Carlene Takaki competes in her final race as a Boilermaker tomorrow as part of the 44-woman field in the 200-yard butterfly. Takaki's personal best in this event is a varsity record 1:58.26, which she recorded at the 2006 Big Ten Championships.
