The Purdue women's golf team is tied for second place after two rounds of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
The third-ranked Boilermakers are tied with Arkansas after totaling 592 over the first two days. Purdue fired a 295 on Friday and a 297 on Saturday. They are one stroke behind Florida for the lead. The Gators carded a 292 on Saturday, the tournament's lowest round.
Oklahoma (596) and Kent State (598) round out the top five.
Purdue has four individuals in the top 20. Arkansas' Amanda McCurdy leads the tournament with a total of 140. Purdue is the host of the Classic, one of collegiate golf's most competitive tournaments.
The Boilermakers were led by senior Onnarin Sattayabanphot, who has totaled 147. After a first-round 71, she carded a 76 on Saturday. She is tied for fifth overall.
Freshmen Christel Boeljon and Maria Hernandez are both tied for eighth place. Hernandez cut two strokes of her total of 75 on Friday. Her 73 was the lowest round of the day for the Boilermakers. After a 73 on Friday, Boeljon fired a 75 on Saturday.
Sophomore Whitney Frykman is tied for 20th after a round of 74. She has a total of 150, just two strokes out of the top 10.
Junior Myrte Eikenaar fired a second-round 75 and is tied for 38th. Eikenaar bounced back after a 79 on Friday. Caroline Haase competed as individual and tied for 66th after a round of 82.
The event is being played at the 6,000-yard, par-72 CoCo Beach Golf Course.
This is the fourth year for Lady Puerto Rico Classic. Last year's event was won by Auburn, which fired a 216. Diana Ramage captured individual honors. Duke captured the team title in the first two years of the tournament.
The final round begins on Sunday at 8 a.m. EST.
