The Purdue women's golf team is tied for 17th after 36 holes of the 2005 NCAA Women's Golf Championships in Sunriver, Ore.
The Boilermakers were in 23rd place after the first round. They moved up six spots in the standings by firing a 302 on Wednesday, seven strokes better than their first round score.
Purdue is tied with Texas A&M and Stanford. Pepperdine and Auburn lead the event with totals of 586.
Big Ten Freshman of the Year Whitney Frykman continued her stellar season by firing a team-low 72. She is tied for 17th overall after totaling 148 over the first two rounds.
Sophomore Caroline Haase carded a 74 in the second round, four shots better than her opening-round 78. She is tied for 53rd overall.
Junior Onnarin Sattayabanphot totaled an 80 on Wednesday. She is tied for 88th overall.
Sophomore Myrte Eikenaar bounced back from an 82 on Tuesday to fire a 76 in the second round. She is tied for 104th.
Redshirt-freshman Kara Eschbach is tied for 123rd after an 84 on Wednesday.
The championships are being held on the Meadows Golf Course at the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. Oregon State is serving as the tournament's host.
The course is a par 71 and playing at 6,312 yards.
Purdue is one of six schools to advance to the last six NCAA Championships.
The Boilermakers tee off at 2:10 p.m. West Coast Time on Thursday in the third round.
