MADISON, Wis. - The Purdue men's golf team is tied for fourth after the second round of the 2005 Big Ten Championships in Madison, Wis.

Several teams ended the second day under par for the event.

The Boilermakers fired a second-round 282 and are tied with Northwestern. Purdue and the Wildcats are two-under par for the tournament with totals of 574.

The Boilermakers total of 282 on Saturday is the 12th-lowest round in school history.

Indiana and Michigan State lead the event with total of 558 (-18).

Sophomore Peter Richardson fired a two-under 70 on Saturday and is tied for seventh overall. Richardson's round consisted of four birdies and two bogeys.

Senior Dustin Cone is tied for ninth overall. He carded a team-low 69 on Saturday with four birdies and one bogey.

Sophomore Johan Edin continued his solid play with a two-under 70. His round contained three birdies and an eagle on Hole No. 11. He is tied for 15th overall.

Sophomore Pariya Junhasavasdikul is tied for 22nd after a 75 on Saturday.

The event is being hosted by Wisconsin on the University Ridge golf course. The course is a par-72, 6,888-yard layout.
