HOUSTON - The Purdue men's golf team finished seventh in an extremely talented field at the Hall of Fame Invitational in Houston, Texas.
The Boilermakers carded a final-round 297 and totaled 880 strokes over the three days. Purdue's total ties as the 16th lowest 54-hole tournament score in school history.
Oklahoma State won the event with a total of 846. UNLV placed second and New Mexico took third place.
Sophomore Pariya Junhasavasdikul tied for the third-lowest final round of the tournament and finished tied for seventh overall. Junhasavasdikul carded a 68 on Sunday to tie his career low. His total of 213 over the three days ranks as the 19th lowest 54-hole total for an individual in Boilermaker history.
Sophomore Bobby Bennett tied for 23rd overall after a final-round 75. He carded a 68 on Saturday and totaled 220.
Sophomore Peter Richardson shot a 78 on Sunday and totaled 223 strokes. He tied for 41st overall. Senior Dustin Cone tied for 52nd overall after a final-round 77.
Sophomore Johan Edin tied for 84th overall after a final-round 77. He totaled 234 strokes during the event.
The event was hosted by the University of Texas and held at the Redstone Golf Club. The course is a par-72, 7,352-yard layout.
The Boilermakers are in action again on April 16 to 17 when they host the Boilermaker Invitational at the Kampen Course of the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
