The Purdue men's golf team fired a final-round 309 and finished third at the General Jim Hackler Invitational.
The 54-hole tournament featured 36 holes on Sunday and the final 18 on Monday. Purdue totaled 895 over the two days. Host school Coastal Carolina won the event with a total of 886. Notre Dame finished second with an 891.
Purdue was led by sophomore Pariya Junhasavasdikul, who finished ninth. He carded a 74 on Monday and totaled 221 over the two days. Junhasavasdikul's ninth-place finish ties for second best of his career. He tied for seventh at the Landfall Tradition in October.
Sophomore Bobby Bennett finished 13th after totaling 224. Bennett was tied for second after two rounds, but fired a final-round 80.
Sophomore Peter Richardson and freshman Santiago Russi both tied for 24th. Richardson shot a final-round 79 and Russi carded a 76. The duo totaled 228.
Senior Dustin Cone carded an 83 on Monday and tied for 34th overall. He totaled 231 over the two days.
The event was hosted by Coastal Carolina and held at the TPC of Myrtle Beach golf course. The course is a par-72, 6950-yard layout.
The Boilermakers continue their spring break on March 18 to 20 at the Hall of Fame Invitational in Houston, Texas.
