The Purdue women's golf team finished ninth at the 2004 Landfall Tradition.

The Boilermakers fired a final-round 301 and totaled a 897 over the three-day event. Purdue carded a 301 on Friday and 295 on Saturday.

New Mexico won the event after an 878. Host school UNC-Wilmington finished second.

Purdue was led by sophomore Myrte Eikenaar who tied for third place overall. Eikenaar carded a final-round 71 and totaled 214 over the three days. Her score of 214 is the second lowest three-round score in school history.

Sophomore Onnarin Sattayabanphot tied for 22nd after a 223 over the three days. She fired a 75 on Sunday. Freshman Whitney Frykman tied for 32nd. She totaled 227.

Sophomores Caroline Haase and Maria Stinson finished 54 and 56 respectively.

The event was hosted by UNC-Wilmington and held at the Country Club of the Landfall, designed by Jack Nicklaus. The course is a par 72, 6,034-yard layout.

The Boilermakers are in action again from Nov. 14 to 16 at the Hooters Match Play Championships in Myrtle Beach. S.C.
