COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Purdue men's golf team is tied for fifth after the first two rounds of the 35th annual Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio State.
The event is being held on par-72, 7,251-yard Ohio State University Scarlet Golf Course.
The Boilermakers totaled a 600 on Saturday. Xavier leads the event after a two-round total of 585. The Boilermakers shot an impressive 296 in the afternoon after totaling 304 through the first 18 holes. Purdue is tied with Penn State, Indiana and Kansas State for the fifth spot.
Purdue was led by senior Shiv Kapur and freshman Pariya Junhasavasdikul. The duo each posted back-to-back rounds of 74 and are tied for 12th overall.
Freshman Peter Richardson came back after a first-round 81 and fired a 72 in the afternoon. He is tied for 44th.
Freshman Johan Edin fired a 75 in the morning and an 80 in the afternoon. He is tied for 59th overall. Senior Dustin Cone is tied for 78th after a two-round 158.
The final 18 holes will begin on Sunday at 8 a.m. ET. Complete results will be posted at purduesports.com.
