McCambridge Wins Three-Meter Title At Georgia Invite

ATHENS, Ga. - One night removed from finishing third off the 1-meter springboard, sophomore Carrie McCambridge rebounded to win the 3-meter title Sunday night at the Georgia Diving Invitational. Her finals score of 536.70 edged out runner-up Lauryn McCalley of Tennessee, who registered a score of 531.75.

McCambridge, a former Big Ten Diver of the Week, scored a high mark of 492.05 during the morning prelims to advance to the nightly finals. Freshman Bethany Jensen also reached the finals of the 3-meter, posting scores of 407.00 (prelims) and 378.95 (finals).

On the men's side, freshman Steven LoBue was once again the Boilermakers' top finisher, scoring a 11th-place mark of 256.20 off the 1-meter. LoBue, also a previous winner of the Big Ten Diver of the Week award, advanced to the finals after posting a sixth-place prelim score of 299.00.

McCambridge, LoBue and the rest of their teammates wrap up competition Monday morning, with the platform competition starting at 11 a.m.
