FAIRFAX, Calif. - The Purdue men's golf team finished eighth at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Fairfax, Calif. The event was hosted by California University. This was only the second year for the event.
The Boilermakers totaled a three-round 859. They fired a final-round 292 and finished 26 strokes behind California for first place.
Freshman Peter Richardson led the Boilermakers. He placed eighth overall and totaled a 209 over the three days.
Freshman Pariya Junhasavasdikul totaled a 215 and tied for 31st overall.
Seniors Luke Epp and Shiv Kapur each carded a 219 and tied for 44th. Junior Dustin Cone fired a 221 and finished tied for 53rd.
The tournament was held on the par-71, 6,585-yard Meadow Club Golf Course.
The Boilermakers are in action on Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C.
