WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - Chudney Gray scored 19 points and Aundre Branch added 17 as the Harlem Globetrotters beat Purdue 83-64 Tuesday night in a preseason exhibition.

Purdue's Kenny Lowe played his first game at Mackey Arena in two years after redshirting last season because of an injury to his right shoulder. Lowe also broke his right thumb last month, and played with his hand heavily bandaged.

Late in the first half, Lowe scored on a driving layup and went crashing to the floor. He got up and made the free throw two-handed. The bandage hindered his shooting hand and he scored only three points.

"I felt all right," Lowe said.

The Globetrotters led nearly the entire game, blowing the contest open with a 24-9 run in the second half. Purdue came within 40-36 at the half and 47-45 early in the second half, but never got closer after a 3-pointer by Darmetreis Kilgore.

Brett Buscher led the Boilermakers with 13 points and Chris Booker had 12.

The Globetrotters' Cedric Ceballos, a former NBA All-Star and slam dunk champion, scored 12 points and Todd Day, who won a national championship with Arkansas, added 11.

There were no passes off heads, trick shots or fan involvement for the Globetrotters. This version of the team, comprised of former college and NBA players, is on a nine-game, 17-day fall college tour, which includes stops at Maryland, Connecticut and Ohio State.

Purdue plays again Nov. 15 against Team Nike before opening the regular season Nov. 22 vs. Miami (Ohio).
