WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Mitch Pruemer tossed a three-hit shutout with a career-best seven strikeouts and David Harrell blasted a first-inning two-run home run to lead Purdue to a 2-0 victory over Indiana. The win halted an eight-game skid for the Boilermakers.

Adam Fazio singled for Purdue's first hit of the game, one batter before Harrell's two-run blast.

Pruemer fired his team-leading fourth complete game of the season, allowing just one walk along the way. He faced just three batters over the minimum.

Monday's game was scheduled to be a doubleheader in Bloomington after Saturday and Sunday doubleheaders were rained out. The game was shifted back to West Lafayette because of rain in Southern Indiana and was changed to a single game.

The two teams will play a doubleheader in Bloomington on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.

Purdue improves its Big Ten record to 12-14 and is now 22-26 overall.
