WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - John Allison scored 25 points and Maynard Lewis added 22 points as Purdue beat Oakland, Mich., 89-71, Sunday to win the Boilermaker Invitational.

Purdue (4-2) led by four 11 minutes into the first half, then went on a 9-0 run to take a double-digit lead. The Boilermakers shot 57 percent in the first half, with Lewis, Darmetreis Kilgore and Brett Buscher each going 4-for-5 from the floor. They led 42-37 at halftime.

Kilgore hit a 3-pointer and Lewis made 2 3's in three straight possessions early in the second half to extend the lead to 60-33. Kilgore had 14 points. Lewis made 5 of 8 3-pointers.

Austin Parkinson had 11 assists.

Dan Champagne scored 19 points and Jason Rozycki added 17 for the Grizzlies (3-4). Rozycki scored 15 points in the second half, but the Grizzlies never got closer than 14. Mike Helms scored 13 and Mychal Covington added 12.

Purdue shot 58 percent from the floor and made 8 of 19 3-pointers.

Purdue coach Gene Keady is two wins away from his 500th Division I coaching victory.

The Boilermakers are 21-1 in the Boilermaker Invitational and have won 18 straight in the tournament. They have won 10 of 11 invitationals, with Wisconsin-Green Bay winning in 1991.
