The Purdue women's golf team captured fourth place, tied with Minnesota, at the Big Ten Championships at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn. The Boilermakers shot a 305, lowest score of the fourth round. Individually, Kari Damron shot a 74, en route to a tie for second-place overall, just two strokes away from claiming medal honors. Damron was also named to the All-Conference team for a second year in a row.
"We're very proud of what Kari Damron accomplished this weekend," head coach Devon Brouse said. "We're looking to improve on our middle rounds, which affected our total score at the Big Ten Championships. We're expecting big things over the next two weeks, as we will be playing on our home turf, the Kampen Course, hosting the NCAA Central Regional." Purdue will compete and host the Central Regional on May 9-12.
