WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Katie Douglas was on a mission against Wisconsin.
"I think after we went into overtime, I kind of got that mentality that this our home floor, and we didn't want to lose," she said. "I wanted the ball."
Douglas scored seven of her 24 points in overtime, including the go-ahead three-point play, and helped No. 6 Purdue win 75-70 Sunday for its 11th straight victory.
Wisconsin led 70-68 when Douglas converted the three-point play to give the Boilermakers (19-3, 9-0 Big Ten) a 71-70 lead with 2:57 left.
That was the fifth foul on Stomski, who scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds.
Wisconsin (12-7, 6-3) was shut out from there as Douglas and Shereka Wright, who came of the bench to score 14, sealed the win with free throws.
"Katie knows exactly what to do. We had plays (for other players), but when she got the ball, she took over," said Shalicia Hurns, who scored 12 points.
Purdue led 64-59 with a little more than two minutes left in the second half after a 3-pointer by Kelly Komara.
Wisconsin's LaTonya Sims made a 3-pointer and Tamara Moore's layup with a minute left evened the score at 64. Moore led the Badgers with 19 points and Sims added 14.
Purdue couldn't capitalize on several last-minute shots.
All five Wisconsin starters were reached double digits in scoring, but the Badgers were outscored 23-2 in bench play.
The Badgers led by six at halftime and clung to the lead early in the second half. Hurns converted a three-point play with 9:44 left to give Purdue a 50-49 lead. Nina Smith, who had scored 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting, fouled out on the play.
Wisconsin coach Jane Albright said the loss of Smith and Stomski in overtime may have cost them.
"We needed our post players down the stretch. This is a hard, hard loss. We didn't want to come out of this with a moral victory," she said.
Sims banked in a 3-pointer as the Badgers regained the lead at 55-52. Douglas later added her third 3-pointer to put Purdue back ahead.
"We didn't come out and play as aggressive and as hard as we should have. I feel some people relaxed a bit. We kind of picked it up at the end," Douglas said.
It was Purdue's first lead since midway through the second half. A 3-pointer by Douglas put them ahead 18-16, but Wisconsin went on an 8-0 run. Kyle Black's 3-pointer gave them a 29-23 lead, and they led 37-31 at the half.
