Boilers Fall 7-2 To LSU

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's tennis team fell 7-2 to Louisiana State Saturday. The Boilermakers fell to 6-10 on the season, while the Lady Tigers improved to 11-7.

Purdue sophomore Lynsey Fick and her junior doubles partner Lisa Walgenbach picked up a 9-8 (1) win over Amy McIlhaney and Lauren Haddix. The Tigers' 10th ranked duo of Bruna Colosio and Ana Paula Mores defeated No. 20 Jennifer Embry and Shannon Taheny 8-4.

In singles action, freshman Melissa Iqbal was able to capture a 7-6 (2), 7-5 win over Tami Botts at the No. 4 position.
