BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Stephanie White-McCarty scored 28 points to lead No. 2 Purdue to a 91-86 victory Friday night against Indiana.
Purdue (18-1, 10-0 Big Ten) trailed 44-33 at halftime before rallying to take a 62-61 lead with 11:28 remaining on a basket by Katie Douglas.
"It was just like they were throwing darts," Purdue coach Carolyn Peck said of the Hoosiers' first-half shooting. "They were focused on the basket and they kept hitting the mark."
Cindy Kerns answered with a layup for Indiana (13-11, 2-8), but White-McCarty scored another 3 to put the Boilermakers ahead for good.
"We came out with a lot of good effort and enthusiasm and execution," said Indiana coach Jim Izard. "It's hard to get them stopped on the drive."
Kay Morgan led Indiana with 20 points, Kristi Green added 17 and Kerns had 16 points and 11 rebounds.
