Tim Sarhage joined the Purdue baseball staff in a full-time capacity as the program’s supervisor of operations in December 2019. A three-year team manager, Sarhage graduated from Purdue in December 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He’s graduated a semester early in 3 ½ years. The 2020-21 school year will be his second as a full-time staff member and fifth year with the program overall.
Sarhage joined the program in the fall of 2016 and missed only a couple weekend road trips during his three seasons as a manager. He served as the leader of the manager staff starting in the spring of 2017, specializing in operations.
Sarhage is tasked with organizing all aspects of team travel and budget responsibilities, including coordinating team meals. He’ll takes the lead on bat testing, setting up practice times on road trips and visiting-team accommodations at Alexander Field in accordance with NCAA/Big Ten rules. Sarhage also serves as the point of contact between the coaching staff and athletics department personnel specializing in facilities, marketing, turf, equipment and event management. As baseball’s jack of all trades, he also assists in the coordination of community events as well as with youth and team camps at Alexander Field.

As a team manager, Sarhage assisted with event operations and as part of the sports turf crew. He was an assistant camp coordinator for one summer. As a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at Purdue, he helped coordinate multiple editions of the Greek home run derby in the fall.
