UPDATE: Roger Blalock: 1946-2012
Recently retired administrator also played and coached basketball at Purdue.
Blalock previously served as associate athletics director (1999-2004), assistant athletics director (1995-99) and compliance coordinator (1994-95). He also worked in the Purdue Office of Admissions as associate director (1992-94), assistant director (1981-92) and financial aid counselor (1971-74).
Blalock was assistant basketball coach at Eastern Michigan from 1979 to 1981 and at Purdue from 1974 to 1979.
Blalock earned a bachelor's degree in physical education and a communication minor from Purdue in 1969. He was a two-year basketball letterwinner at Purdue and averaged 12.3 points per game during the 1966-67 season.
Blalock has been very involved in the community, including volunteering as head coach for the Lafayette Hustlers, a local AAU team which regularly competed at the national championship tournament.
A native of Chicago, Blalock and his wife, J.B., have a son, R.B.
