WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue baseball players set to return to campus in the fall continue to play throughout the summer in NCAA-sanctioned wood bat leagues. The Boilermakers will be represented in leagues ranging from Maine to Southern California this summer.
At least 17 returning players were scheduled to play summer ball this year, representing Purdue in 12 different leagues.

Five Boilermakers are returning to teams they played for last summer
• Nick Dalesandro: Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod League; helped Harwich win the 2016 East Division title
• Evan Kennedy and Evan Warden: Lafayette Aviators of the Prospect League
• Kyle Van Hoeck: Lake Erie Monarchs of the Great Lakes League
Bonner and Shipley will be playing for notable MLB veterans. Bonner and Shipley's Victoria HarbourCats are managed by longtime big leaguer Brian McCrae.
