Legends Of Mackey Online Ballot
In an effort to recognize the most significant Boilermaker players in the history of Mackey Arena, Purdue University is asking fans to participate in the selection process to determine its top 12 female and top 12 male players who competed in the facility since it was built in 1967.
Votes will be tabulated over a period of two months (Nov. 1 through Dec. 31) in conjunction with the rededication of the internationally known facility that is undergoing a $99.5 million renovation.
The ballots below consist of the names of 41 Purdue men and 24 women who were chosen as All-Big Ten players by either the coaches or media of the Big Ten. Fans are asked to vote for 12 men and 12 women. They may submit a write-in candidate in place of one or more of the names on the ballot.
The 24 honorees will be announced and featured during the first 12 weeks of 2012. Also, a line of products will be developed, including shirts, posters and calendars, recognizing the "Legends of Mackey." Proceeds from the sales will benefit the 6th Boiler Scholarship Fund, which is raising money through the John Purdue Club to ultimately endow Boilermaker basketball scholarships.
