Polar Earns Second-Consecutive Softball America Honors

Moriah Polar has been named Softball America's No. 18 outfielder in the nation heading into the month of May. This is Polar's second time receiving the honor, after being named the No. 16 outfielder heading into the month of April.  

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Moriah Polar has been named Softball America's No. 18 outfielder in the nation heading into the month of May. This is Polar's second time receiving the honor, after being named the No. 16 outfielder heading into the month of April.

Polar's storied season and career has continued throughout 2025, as she held positions in the national rankings all-season long. Polar currently ranks 5th in the Big Ten in batting average and is
ranked 15th nationally in the category. For stolen bases, Polar's 30 are tied for 17th in the nation, and 2nd in the Big Ten.

During her sophomore campaign, Polar has eclipsed 100 career-hits with 19 multi-hit games, three of which she went 4-for-4.

On the other side of the ball, Polar holds a team-leading .990 fielding percentage with 93 putouts, two assists, and just one error over the Boilermakers 46 games so far.

Polar and the Boilermakers take on rival, Indiana, for the final series of the Big Ten regular season in West Lafayette this weekend.
