SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The month of February begins for the Purdue track & field team at the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Indiana, from February 2-3.
The meet, to be contested at Notre Dame's Loftus Sports Center, will commence for the Boilermakers with field events at 4 p.m. ET on Friday, February 2. Running events start at 4:30 p.m., and the squad's last event will begin at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, February 3, action for Purdue opens with running events at 10 a.m. and field events at noon. The 4x400 relay concludes the weekend at 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT: BIG WEEKEND AT LOUISVILLE
Purdue won four events and notched five top-10 marks in school history last weekend at the Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville. Two record-book marks came in the heptathlon and another two were in the triple jump, along with one in the high jump to highlight the Boilermakers' first multi-day meet of the indoor season.
The Boilermakers notched wins in the 200-meters, 400m, pentathlon and pole vault. They added four runner-up finishes and five third-place showings. The Old Gold and Black registered 28 PRs and seven season bests to complement the five top-10 marks.

LOOKING BACK AT 2023 AT NOTRE DAME
Like they will do this year, the Boilermakers made a pair of trips to Notre Dame in 2023. First up was the Meyo Invitational from February 3-4, 2023, where Cierra Williams rose to No. 5 in school history in the 400m with a winning time of 53.36. Two weeks later, on February 18, Purdue concluded the indoor regular season at the Alex Wilson Invitational. Four personal-record marks were set, in addition to two season-bests. A recap can be found here.
NEXT UP: A SPLIT WEEKEND
The Boilermakers are off to a pair of competitions next weekend, from February 9-10. Part of the team will make the short trip to Chicago for the Windy City Invitational, while the rest of the squad travels to the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, South Carolina. One week later, on February 17, the regular season will wrap up at ND's Alex Wilson Invitational.
