WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue Athletics, Purdue Sports Properties, and the John Purdue Club together announced on Thursday, April 11, the official naming of three Ross-Ade Stadium premium parking and tailgating lots located beside the Ackerman-Allen Golf Course: The Gaylor Electric Lots – "the most electric tailgate at Purdue."

In becoming the first corporate sponsor of Purdue's premium parking and tailgating space, Gaylor Electric has proven its commitment to honoring a longstanding relationship with Boilermaker Athletics.  Gaylor Electric will begin hosting "the most electric tailgate at Purdue" at the start of the 2024 Boilermaker Football season. The purpose of the termed agreement between Gaylor Electric and Purdue Athletics, Purdue Sports Properties, and the John Purdue Club is to further enhance fan experience and provide a game day environment that is second-to-none.

For decades, Gaylor Electric has supported transformative work across the university and athletics organization. Gaylor Electric President and CEO Chuck Goodrich is especially proud to expand his company's partnership with the local flagship university.

"Having our name affixed to this part of the Purdue campus is adding another chapter to our cherished relationship with Purdue University," said Goodrich. "Gaylor Electric has been a proud sponsor of other areas on campus, all revolving around the premier Construction Management School in the nation. My career with Gaylor Electric actually started while attending an Associated Builders and Contractors Purdue Student Chapter fundraiser golf outing. I was partnered with John Gaylor, the founder of Gaylor Electric. By the ninth hole, John had hired me to be a summer intern! Now as owner and CEO of the company and a Purdue alumnus, I look back with such fondness on my days in the ABC Purdue Student Chapter and that day of golf."

Gaylor Electric Lots will cover Purdue Athletics' B, D, and T parking lots. Approximately 7,640 Purdue Football fans will utilize this space during Boilermaker Football season. The real estate has become a centerpiece for the University, with immense development potential as renovations at Ross-Ade Stadium and across Purdue's Athletics campus continue to evolve.

Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Mike Bobinski claims the gift commitment from Gaylor Electric arrived at a pivotal time for Purdue Athletics.

"The college athletics landscape is in its most dramatic period of change and disruption, and the need for meaningful resource support to help us successfully navigate the environment has never been greater," said Bobinski. "We're grateful for Chuck and his team stepping up to bolster the Purdue fan experience at a time when connectivity and camaraderie are of great value. Gaylor Electric's support of Purdue University throughout the decades has been meaningful and unwavering, and we look forward to partnering with them on what will undoubtedly be a high energy tailgate atmosphere."

Always keeping an eye on the future, Goodrich also sees the partnership with Purdue as an excellent opportunity to foster a relationship with upcoming peers in the industry.

"Throughout my career growing with Gaylor Electric, I continually set my sights on Purdue to provide the next generation of construction professionals," said Goodrich. "Whether it is through partnership on campus projects, like the recent Gateway Complex, hiring young people to develop into industry-best professionals, or hosting the best tailgates during Boilermaker Football season, the Purdue and Gaylor Electric partnership has a strong history and an even stronger future. Boiler Up!"
