WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Big Ten Network announced its 2022-23 television schedule Thursday, selecting two Purdue wrestling matches to appear on the platform.
The Boilermakers' home duals with Iowa (Jan. 8) and Northwestern (Feb. 12) will appear on BTN as a part of the conference's wrestling programming. The network will televise 25 wrestling duals this season followed up by coverage of the Big Ten Wrestling Championships, March 4-5.
Purdue's television debut for the 2022-23 season will come at home against the Iowa Hawkeyes on Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. ET in the annual "Hammer Down Cancer" dual. The Boilermakers will wear special edition singlets donated by Rudis, which will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to support the Purdue Center for Cancer Research. More information on how fans can support this incredible cause will be announced closer to the dual.
Senior night for the 2023 graduates against Northwestern on Sunday, Feb. 12 will be the other televised match for the Boilermakers. The dual will kick-off at 12:00 p.m. ET in Holloway Gymnasium. It is the second straight year Purdue's regular season finale comes in a televised bout with the Wildcats.
Purdue's remaining duals will air on BTN+ and start times will be announced by the host institutions at their discretion.
The Boilermakers are scheduled to host their first event of the year next Friday, Oct. 28, opening the doors to Holloway Gymnasium for the preseason wrestle offs. Purdue's first regular season action is slated for Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Clarion Open.
