WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's golf team was honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) for academic achievement, the organization announced over the weekend.
In addition, four student-athletes earned Srixon / Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar Awards.
The Boilermakers were one of four Big Ten teams to earn Presidents' Special Recognition award, given to squads that earned a team GPA of 3.5 and above.
Individually, Cole Bradley, Andrew Farraye, Jason Hong and Joe Weiler were named All-American Scholars. To be eligible for the award, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior, must have a stroke average under 76.0 strokes per round and maintain a cumulative 3.2 GPA.
Earlier this summer, Weiler was named to the CoSIDA first-team Academic All-District first team for at-large sports.
The Boilermakers finished the 2019-20 season ranked No. 57 in the final Golfstat national rankings and were on pace to make their seventh straight NCAA Regionals appearance.
