Emily Meaney's return to her homeland produced a medal, as the Purdue senior won bronze on 10-meter at Australia Diving's FINA Diving World Cup Trials.

Among an 11-diver field, Meaney placed in the top three on the leaderboard after all three lists of competition. She posted a cumulative score of 901.05, finishing just half a point behind Brittany O'Brien (901.55) for silver. Meaney and O'Brien won silver together in synchronized 10-meter at the 2017 World University Games.

Laura Hingston (919.10) won the 10-meter competition to earn Australia's bid in the event at the FINA Diving World Cup, which is set for April 21-26 in Tokyo. Meaney's top list score was 304.50 in the final.

Australia's Olympic Team Trials for diving are slated for June 6 to 14 in Sydney.

Meanwhile, Purdue divers David Boudia, Greg Duncan, Steele Johnson & Brandon Loschiavo are all scheduled to travel across the Atlantic to represent USA Diving at the FINA Diving Grand Prix event in Madrid. Competition is slated for Feb. 14 to 16. The four Boilermakers are entered in a combined three events, with Boudia, Duncan and Johnson all in the mix individually on 3-meter. Boudia & Johnson will team together in synchronized 3-meter and Loschiavo is paired with David Dinsmore in synchronized 10-meter.

With their performances at the USA Diving Winter National Championships in December, Boudia, Johnson and Loschiavo all qualified for the FINA Diving World Cup in a synchronized event.

Duncan and Meaney are in line to represent Purdue at the Big Ten Championships and NCAA Zone C Championships in the coming weeks. They both won bronze medals at Big Tens last season, going on to score at the NCAA Championships. Meaney won silver on the tower at the national championship meet.
