Here are a few takeaways from each game:

PURDUE - 32, No. 6 MICHIGAN – 31 | Oct. 7, 2000 | Ross-Ade Stadium
• Kicker Travis Dorsch converted a 33-yard field goal with four seconds remaining to lift the Boilermakers over the Wolverines.
• Down 28-10 at the break, Purdue rallied to outscore Michigan 22-3 in the second half, while holding the visitors to just 79 yards of offense during that span.
• Drew Brees connected on a 10-yard touchdown pass to John Standeford with 6:45 to go, but the two-point conversion failed. The Purdue slinger finished the day 32-of-44 for 286 yards and a pair of touchdown throws.
• Following a missed potential game-winning field goal from Dorsch with 2:11 left, the defense forced a quick Michigan punt, which gave Brees more than enough time to put the Boilermakers in field-goal range.
• Brees became the Big Ten career touchdown passes leader in the second quarter and became Purdue's career passing yards leader in the third quarter.

No. 16 PURDUE – 31, No. 12 OHIO STATE – 27 | Oct. 28, 2000 | Ross-Ade Stadium
• Trailing by three in the fourth quarter, Drew Brees found a streaking Seth Morales for "The Catch", a 64-yard touchdown strike to put the Boilermakers ahead with 1:55 to play.
• Landon Johnson sealed the win on the ensuing Ohio State drive by pouncing on the loose ball.
• Brees finished the day 39-of-65 passing for 455 yards and three touchdowns.
• Tight end Tim Stratton caught a career-high 12 passes for 100 yards, while receiver Vinny Sutherland had 10 receptions for 142 yards and Morales had season highs of seven catches and 115 yards.
• At the time, those three became just the second trio of 100-yard receivers in school history.
