WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – On the heels of a runner-up finish at the Big Ten Championships, the Purdue men's golf team was selected to compete in the NCAA Pullman (Washington) Regional, which will be held at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club from May 13 to 15.
The Boilermakers were awarded the No. 10 seed and will be joined in seed order by Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Texas A&M, UCLA, BYU, Colorado State, Florida, Michigan State, Purdue, Kent State, Northern Colorado, Wright State and Iona.
"Obviously, we are excited to be back in the field and head to Washington for regionals," head coach Rob Bradley said. "We have played very well the last two events to put us in a position to make regionals and we hope we can continue our momentum in Washington. There are several great teams in our regional, but if we play the way we can, we can advance. I am excited to get out there and see what we can do."
Purdue will be making its sixth straight NCAA Regional appearance, one of two Big Ten teams to be making at least six straight appearances. The Boilermakers' six straight NCAA appearances is the second-longest streak in school history behind 19 straight appearances made from 1949 to 1967.
Purdue is one of six Big Ten teams to advance to regionals (also Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern and Ohio State).
Regionals will take place May 13 to 15 at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club, a 7,308-yard, par-72 layout in Pullman, located in western Washington, near the Idaho border. The course opened in 2008 and previously hosted an NCAA Regional in 2013 and the Pac-12 men's golf championship in 2015.
The Boilermakers have advanced out of regionals to the NCAA Championships three times in the last five years under head coach Rob Bradley (2014, 2016, 2017).
