WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind – The Purdue men's tennis team will travel to Nashville this weekend for the 2019 ITA Ohio Valley Regional on the campus of Vanderbilt University. The tournament will be the second event of the fall for the Boilermakers.
Head coach Pawel Gajdzik will send seven student-athletes into the singles field, as well as a trio of doubles teams.
ORACLE/ITA No. 40 Athell Bennett will be back in action after a second-round appearance at the ITA All-American Championships. Bennett won his opening contest against No. 28 Joseph Guillin from UC Santa Barbara. Bennett will be the No. 1 seed in the singles flight this weekend.
Polish duo Tomasz Dudek and Maksymilian Raupuk will look to continue their hot start to the fall. The tandem took home the doubles honors at the Purdue Invitational to open the season.
The ITA Ohio Valley Regional will have 22 schools competing this weekend. 128 players will fill out the singles draw and 64 teams for the doubles flight.
