Redshirt-sophomore Sarah Griffith registered the Boilermakers' goal in the 25th minute

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – A valiant effort in the face of cold, rainy conditions at Maryland concluded the Boilermakers' trip to the East Coast. Despite producing the first goal of the game, Purdue (6-8-3, 2-6-2) was unable to answer a pair of second-half Maryland scores in the 2-1 loss.

Redshirt-sophomore Sarah Griffith registered the Boilermakers' goal in the 25th minute, marking her third of the season and the first since the game-winner at Iowa State. The assist came from freshman Leanna Rebimbas, her third of the season.

The Boilermakers secured multiple close calls, including a Maryland team save on the goal line and another shot that hit the crossbar.
