WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
Sixty-five Boilermakers will take the two-and-a-half hour bus ride to Bloomington, Indiana, on Saturday as the track & field team squares off against conference rival Indiana. The teams will square off in the outdoor version of the Purdue vs. IU Dual, after the teams split during the indoor season, including a Purdue women's victory.

THE MEET
Purdue and Indiana traditionally face for a dual only during the indoor season. However, this year one meet was not enough as the schools will battle at Billy Hayes Track at the Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex.

The 32nd-ranked Purdue women, led by a talented group of sprinters, square off against the 46th-ranked Hoosiers, while on the men's side the No. 37 men take on the nation's 81st ranked team. Saturday's meet will not be for Governor's Cup points, as both teams have agreed to push that battle back to the Big Ten Championships for this year only.

THE HEADLINERS
Savannah Carson has a busy day for the women's team, as she is scheduled to compete in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, as well as the long jump. Carson is second in the conference in the long jump and 100-meter dash, and ranks fifth and 35th in the country, respectively.

Chukwuebuka Enekwechi will compete in his two main events with the shot put and hammer throw. The two-time defending Big Ten hammer throw champion ranks second in the conference and 13th in the country in the hammer and second in the conference and sixth in the country in the shot put.

The conference's three best pole vaulters will be competing against each other as Jessica Harter looks to continue her best month as a Boilermaker. She ranks second in program history, and the conference, with a clearance of 4.17m (13-8.25) and has jumped at the school record in consecutive meets. She will have a shot Saturday at the Big Ten leader and the conference's No. 3 jumper.

Symone Black, the defending Big Ten 400-meter hurdles champion, will compete in her primary outdoor event. She currently has the No. 2 time in the conference this season and the 13th-best time nationally.

Janae' Moffitt is slated to compete in the high jump Saturday. The indoor Big Ten Champion and Freshman of the Year is currently tied for second in the conference in her inaugural outdoor season.

Three of the top nine discus throwers in program history will compete Saturday for the Old Gold and Black. Micaela Hazlewood, ranked fourth in school history, Sarah Loesch, eighth, and Chelsie Meeks, ninth, will throw at 6 p.m. ET. Hazlewood and Loesch are both in the top 10 in the conference this season.
