John Purdue Club Priority Points Expand to Include University-Wide Giving

For the first time in program history, Purdue supporters will be able to earn John Purdue Club priority points through all giving across Purdue University's main campus.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — For the first time in program history, Purdue supporters will be able to earn John Purdue Club priority points through all giving across Purdue University's main campus. Beginning with this year's Purdue Day of Giving on April 30, contributions to non-athletics units will now qualify for priority points, offering donors more ways to engage with and support Purdue while strengthening the university's philanthropic impact.

The John Purdue Club serves as the fundraising arm of Purdue Athletics, providing scholarship support, funding facility enhancements, and ensuring the success of student-athletes across all 18 Boilermaker sport programs. Priority points rewards donors through benefits such as priority seating, parking access, and ticket allocations.

Through the priority points expansion, donors will receive:
  • One John Purdue Club priority point for every $1,000 in cash gifts to non-athletics units.
  • One John Purdue Club priority point for every $5,000 in irrevocable deferred gifts to non-athletics units.
To use priority points, donors must maintain an active John Purdue Club annual membership. Different membership levels provide access to exclusive benefits, including priority ticketing, hospitality areas, and parking.

John Purdue Club's priority points play a critical role in seating access, including the 2027 Mackey Arena reseat. For the 2024–25 season, securing new season tickets required approximately 1,100 priority points, while lower arena seats required around 2,400 priority points. These numbers are expected to increase for the 2027 reseat, making now the best opportunity to maximize priority point accumulation.

"This initiative reinforces our commitment to recognizing the generosity of all Purdue supporters," said Mike Bobinski, executive vice president and director of intercollegiate athletics. "By expanding opportunities for donors to earn priority points, we broaden engagement with the John Purdue Club while encouraging giving across the entire university. Every contribution—whether to athletics or academics—helps Purdue build a stronger future."

The expansion of John Purdue Club priority points also aligns with Victories & Heroes: Your Campaign for Purdue. With a goal of $4 billion raised by early 2030, this comprehensive campaign will accelerate the growth of Purdue's endowment while focusing on the university's four strategic initiatives — its comprehensive urban expansion in Indianapolis, the Mitch Daniels School of Business, Purdue Computes, and One Health — as well as Purdue Athletics and other key areas. The financial support will help further amplify successes across the university's land-grant mission: learning, discovery, and engagement. The philanthropic funds raised will support scholarships, professorships, research, facilities, and university programs.

"This expansion of John Purdue Club priority points provides more flexibility for donors to support the areas they are passionate about while staying connected to Purdue Athletics," said Julie Dussliere, president and CEO of the Purdue for Life Foundation. "It's an opportunity for every Purdue supporter to make an impact where it matters most to them, while also reinforcing their connection to our student-athletes and the university."
