WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue volleyball's spring season, comprised of four matches over the next 30 days, is set to begin with a showdown at home vs. Butler on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. The spring will culminate in a two-week trip abroad, during which time Purdue will visit three European countries.
Fans do not need a ticket to attend the Purdue vs. Butler showdown at Holloway Gymnasium on Saturday. Doors will open at noon for the 1 p.m. start.
After the squad kicks-off the season at home, the Boilermakers will travel to neutral sites located in the northern half of Indiana to continue its loaded spring slate, all of which are less than a two-hour drive from campus. The Boilermakers will play Louisville on March 29th at Hamilton Southeastern High School, Wisconsin on April 7th at Lake Central High School and Indiana on April 19th at Center Grove High School. Tickets for all three neutral site matches have all been claimed.
The spring season will continue in Europe as Purdue will prepare for a two-week trip from May 12-25. While abroad, the Boilermakers will visit three countries: Italy, Croatia and Turkey. More information about the trip will be released at a later time.
Nearly the entire roster returns for the upcoming year including AVCA All-Americans Eva Hudson (second team), Chloe Chicoine (third team) and Raven Colvin (honorable mention). Two members of the 2024 freshman class, defensive specialist #3 Ryan McAleer and setter #11 Allie Shondell, enrolled early and have already begun practicing with the team. The squad will be rounded out this summer with freshman defensive specialist #6 Sienna Foster.
Purdue is coming off an NCAA Regional Semifinal appearance and finished among the top-15 for the fourth time in the last five years with its No. 13 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll final ranking. Additionally, as a team the Boilermakers finished among the top-15 in kills, blocks and assists on their way to finishing the year third in the Big Ten standings with a 23-9 (15-5 Big Ten) record.
