A YEAR AGO IN THE WINDY CITY
The Boilermakers made two trips to Chicago last season at Gately Park's then-new indoor track & field venue.

On January 15, three Boilermakers won events and another two earned top-10 marks in program history at the Wisconsin Midwest Invitational. Competing against five other Big Ten teams, Jessica Bray (pole vault), Curt Eckstein (3,000) and LJ Hill (long jump) all earned victories, and a pair of sprinters, Antonio Mitchell II and Kerris Roberts, posted top-10 times in the Purdue record books in the 60-meter dash. A full recap is available here.

A month later, from February 11-12, Eckstein broke his own school record in the 3,000m to highlight Purdue's weekend at the Windy City Invitational. Shianne Dacosta (400m), John Pieper (3,000m), Blake Selm (5,000m) and Vanos (weight throw) joined Eckstein with top-10 times in the record books. Eckstein, Selm, Vanos and Tamar Greene (triple jump) all notched runner-up finishes as 20 personal-best marks were recorded at the two-day meet. Recap day one and day two from Chicago.

NEXT UP: ON TO CHICAGO TO OPEN 2023
The Boilermakers are back in action next weekend, when they travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the Simmons-Harvey Invitational on January 21. Purdue returns to Michigan for the first time since opening the 2020-21 indoor season at the U-M Indoor Track Building.
