TOKYO -- Evan Austin won his first career medal at the Paralympic Games in thrilling fashion, out touching the fourth-place finisher by .04 hundredths of a second to claim bronze in the 400-meter freestyle (S7) Sunday.

Austin took bronze with a time of 4:38.95. Argentina's Inaki Basiloff finished nearly simultaneously at 4:38.99.
