WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Big Ten announced its fall 2021 volleyball broadcast schedule, giving fans nine opportunities to catch the Boilermakers on television this fall.
Fans will have the chance to watch No. 7 Purdue take on five top-12 ranked teams in No. 3 Wisconsin, No. 6 Nebraska, No. 9 Minnesota, No. 10 Ohio State and No. 12 Penn State (based on Spring 2021 AVCA final coaches poll).
Purdue's lineup includes seven Big Ten Network matches and two through ESPN channels. Included in the announcement was a date change for Wisconsin at Purdue, which moved a day later to Sunday, October 31 at Noon ET (ESPNU).
Over half (five of nine) will air from the friendly confines of Holloway Gymnasium. All of Purdue's home matches that are not available on a linear network will be streamed on BTN+.
Purdue closed out the Spring 2021 season with its highest final AVCA ranking in program history. The Boilermakers return its entire roster, which holds a program-record four AVCA All-Americans, and adds four newcomers in Emily Rastovski, Sydney Yim, Under Armour All-American Raven Colvin and Under Armour All-American Ali Honung. Yim and Hornung were named Gatorade State Volleyball Player of the Year for their respective states of Connecticut and Indiana.
The Boilermakers concluded their season with an NCAA Regional Finals appearance against the eventual national champions, Kentucky. The Boilermakers had a record-setting postseason awards resume after receiving program-bests with four All-America nods (first team Grace Cleveland, third team Caitlyn Newton and honorable mentions Hayley Bush and Jena Otec), five All-Region honorees and five Big Ten postseason awards, including the program's first Defensive Player of the Year distinction in Otec.
