WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The women's golf team will take on its conference rivals at the Big Ten Championship beginning on Friday. The Boilermakers are coming off an eighth-place finish at the Indiana Invitational last weekend in which they teed it up against all 13 fellow Big Ten schools. Sophomores Sifat Sagoo and Kan Bunnabodee each recorded their first top 10 finishes of the season in Bloomington, placing sixth and eighth, respectively. Sagoo shot an even-par 216 over 54 holes, while Bunnabodee was a stroke behind her with a 1-over 217.

The Boilermakers are coming off an eighth-place finish at the Indiana Invitational last weekend in which they teed it up against all 13 fellow Big Ten schools. Sophomores Sifat Sagoo and Kan Bunnabodee each recorded their first top 10 finishes of the season in Bloomington, placing sixth and eighth, respectively. Sagoo shot an even-par 216 over 54 holes, while Bunnabodee was a stroke behind her with a 1-over 217.
 
Four of the six Boilermakers (Bunnabodee, freshman Ashley Kozlowski, junior Thitapa Pakdeesettakul and Sagoo) will be participating in their first Big Ten Championship. Senior Inez Wanamarta is taking part in her third, having finished in a tie for 18th in 2019 and a tie for 12th in 2018. Junior Danielle du Toit tied for 22nd in her lone conference tournament in 2019.
 
Purdue finished in a tie for second at the last Big Ten Championship in 2019 with departed Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri sharing individual medalist honors with a 6-under two-round score of 138.

THE COURSE
TPC River's Bend will play home to the Big Ten Championships for the fourth time. Named by Golf Digest among the "Top 10 Best New Private Clubs in the U.S." after it opened in 2001, the Arnold Palmer-designed golf course has continued to amaze. TPC River's Bend has also been recognized as one of Ohio's Best Courses in State by Golf Digest in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2015 and 2016. TPC River's Bend has previously hosted the Web.com Tour's Chiquita Classic, the PGA TOUR Champions Kroger Classic, and the Junior PGA Championship. The course will play 6.300 yards, par-72.

BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIPS HISTORY
The Boilermakers have a tradition of successes at the Big Ten Championships, owning six team conference titles and nine individual medalists in the 38-year history of the event. Purdue last won a team title in 2013, while Ida Ayu Indira Melati Putri was the Boilermakers' last individual champion, topping the field in 2019. The Boilermakers have finished second and sixth twice the three Big Ten Championships played at TPC River's Bend, and prior to that posted back-to-back third-place efforts at The Fort in Indianapolis.
