WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue volleyball team (23-6, 15-5 B1G) punched their ticket to the NCAA tournament and were chosen to host the first and second rounds as a No. 6 seed, the program's highest since 2011. Slated to take on Illinois State (19-13, 13-5 MVC) on Thursday, December 2 at 7 p.m. ET, No. 6 Purdue will also welcome Marquette and Dayton to Holloway Gymnasium for the two days.

Tickets will go on sale tomorrow at Noon ET and can be purchased HERE.

The Boilermakers will host the first round Thursday, December 2, immediately followed by the second round on Friday. Purdue and Illinois State, the Missouri Valley Conference Champions, will take the primetime slot at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, while Marquette and Dayton will square off beforehand at 4:30 p.m. ET.

The winner of each match will play in the second round on Friday at 5 p.m. ET.

Purdue's sixth seed is the second straight year the Boilermakers were selected in the top 10, and marks the second straight year the team set program-bests in NCAA tournament seeding.

Purdue closed out the regular-season tied for third in the Big Ten standings, its best since 2011. Meanwhile, the team's 15 conference wins are also the most in as many years. As a whole, Purdue went 7-4 vs. AVCA top-25 ranked opponents, which included four wins over top-10 opponents and a season sweep against the Big Ten champions, Wisconsin.

Purdue last hosted the first and second rounds in 2019, where they welcomed Wright State, Marquette and Dayton. The Boilermakers swept Wright State before besting Marquette, 3-1 in the second round.

Purdue is making its seventh consecutive and 23rd overall postseason appearance. Meanwhile, it is head coach Dave Shondell's 16th time to the Big Dance, where he owns a 27-15 record and has guided the team to advance to the second round in each tournament berth.
