WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Last year, President Mitch Daniels announced the creation of the Purdue for Life Foundation — a combination of the University's alumni engagement role and its fundraising role — and with that alumni role formalized, the John Purdue Club began rolling out its new branding beginning with a sneak peek to members on this year's JPC Day.
The Purdue for Life Foundation helps the people who love Purdue University stay connected, get involved, and give back. Its goal is to improve alumni engagement and communication by aligning development and stewardship activities across campus and with alumni and friends. It is the new parent organization of the John Purdue Club as well as the President's Council, alumni engagement programs, and fundraising initiatives.
"We pride ourselves on offering our student-athletes every possible opportunity to succeed on and off the playing field," says Tim House, senior associate athletics director and assistant vice president for development. "We couldn't do what we do without our members, and we are excited to share all of the resources and opportunities that Purdue for Life has to offer."
John Purdue Club annual memberships, benefits, and priority points will not change as it relates to athletics giving. The John Purdue Club remains an organization exclusive for donors who support the annual scholarship bill for 500+ Purdue student-athletes with gifts of $200 or more. All members of the John Purdue Club are automatically considered part of Purdue for Life.
The JPC flag logo members may be used to seeing will be slowly retired, and a new logo began to roll out on JPC Day on June 5. JPC merchandise has been updated to reflect this new look, and members can contact their Boilermaker Athletics Representative for a discount code to use at PurdueTeamStore.com.
Members and athletics donors can continue to reach out to their B.A.R.s as they currently do. They can also visit johnpurdueclub.com, email jpc@purdue.edu, or call 765.494.CLUB.
