The Purdue men's track & field and cross country program is ranked No. 8 nationally in the Program of the Year mid-year update, which was unveiled this week by the USTFCCCA.

To be ranked, teams must place at the NCAA cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field championship meets.

Senior Tamar Greene and sophomore Marcellus Moore led the way with top-seven finishes to earn first team All-America honors. Moore was sixth overall in the 60-meter dash final and Greene was seventh in the triple jump to cap the national championship meet. The duo, both recorded marks that are in the top-three in their events in school history.

The Purdue men placed 29th at the cross country championships and 37th at the indoor track & field national meet.
