WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Vanessa Korolas' first collegiate goal gave Purdue women's soccer a halftime lead, but Wisconsin scored three times in a span of 11 minutes after the break to rally past the Boilermakers 3-1 Friday.

The Badgers (4-3-4, 1-1-1 B1G) extended their unbeaten streak against Purdue (3-6, 1-2 B1G) to eight straight games dating back to 2009. Sydney McGinnis and Payton Wesley scored one minute and 27 seconds apart to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead. Wisconsin scored in the 65th, 66th and 76th minutes.

Goalkeeper Jordan Ginther made her first start since Aug. 26 and finished with a career-high nine saves, matching Erika Yohn for team-high honors this year. A Purdue 'keeper has made nine saves in three of the team's last five games.

Hannah Leinert set up Korolas' goal in the 19th minute with a right-to-left cross through the 18-yard box. Korolas was in position to score from top of the six-yard box with a shot into the left side of the net. She joined Gianna Milaro as Boilermakers to score their first collegiate goals this season.

Purdue was unable to create any significant offensive chances throughout the second half. And Wisconsin's two scores in 90 seconds stole any momentum the home side possessed on a night in which there was a large supportive crowd cheering on the Boilermakers.

The Folk Family was honored prior to the game for its support of the program and Purdue's home pitch, which was renamed Folk Field this summer.

For the second time this season, the Boilermakers lost after holding the lead for at least half the game. They led for 45 minutes Friday. In program history, that matched the fourth-longest amount of time Purdue held the lead in a game it eventually lost. The Boilermakers had not surrendered three goals in a half at home since October 2013 vs. Nebraska (four).

Wisconsin burned Purdue with a long through ball multiple times. The Badgers' first and third goals were both set up by long lead passes. Wesley connected the long pass to McGinnis up the west sideline, leading to a semi-breakaway. McGinnis had enough time and space to dribble around Ginther on the right side of the 18-yard box. Center back Kylie Schwarz later split two Purdue defenders with a through ball that sprang Steph Fabry free for another 1-v-1 opportunity vs. Ginther.

Dani Rhodes also had a semi-breakaway opportunity in the eighth minute after a long lead pass. She missed wide left.

Wesley scored the go-ahead goal with a point blank tap-in after a rebound came her way. Ginther made a save on Rose Lavelle's shot from the left flank but was unable control the rebound.

Lydia Brosnahan, Megan Kaser, Gabby LaMere and Hannah Mussallem went the distance among the Purdue field players. Milaro was the first Boilermaker off the bench and logged 38 minutes to lead the reserves.

The Boilermakers' next game is Sunday when they host No. 9 Minnesota at 1 p.m. ET.
