WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - A pair of Kaylah Hampton RBI doubles lifted the Boilermakers to a 4-1 win over Wisconsin on Saturday, securing the season series with the Badgers.

Junior Lilly Fecho (15-5) held the Badgers without a hit for five innings, before giving up a two-out single in the sixth. Fecho issued four strikeouts in the complete-game victory, while pitching her fourth one-hitter of the season.
Wisconsin took advantage of a leadoff walk and a pair of Boilermaker miscues for a score in the first. Maria Van Abel walked and went to second on an error. A grounder moved the runners into scoring position and a wild pitch brought Van Abel home. A throwing error after a fielder's choice play gave the Badgers another scoring chance, but the Boilermakers recovered and threw the lead runner out at the plate to end the threat.
Purdue answered with two runs on two hits in the bottom of the inning. Junior Mary Gooding lifted a one-out double to center field. Senior Ashley Burkhardt walked and redshirt junior Katie Harrison was hit by a pitch to fill the bases. Hampton came through with a double to right center to bring Gooding and Burkhardt home. Junior CJ Parsons drew a pinch hit walk, putting runners at the corners, but a pair of strikeouts ended the inning.

Burkhardt walked and Harrison was hit by a pitch, setting the table for the rookie's second two-run double to right center, which made it 4-1.

Hampton drew her first walk and went to second on a wild pitch in the fourth, while Hoppman tallied her second hit of the day with a bunt single in the fifth.
Wisconsin tallied its first hit on a Chloe Miller single to right field, but a ground out wasted the effort.
Purdue had a chance to add more runs in the seventh after loading the bases, but couldn't cash in. A Harrison single and walks to Hampton and Hughes accounted for the base runners, but a fly ball to center ended the rally.
Fecho pitched over a two-out error in the seventh as a fly ball capped the game.
