Nelson Garris joined the John Purdue Club as a revenue generation and development associate in October 2023. In this role, he is responsible for building lasting relationships with Purdue donors and serves as a primary point of contact for any inquiries related to the John Purdue Club and Purdue Athletics. Garris also assists with the purchase of season tickets, group tickets, and single-game tickets for all Purdue Athletic events.
Garris manages over 1,000 donors, ensuring they receive excellent customer service and maximizing the benefits of their donations and memberships. He communicates the impact of their contributions on supporting our student-athletes and outlines the benefits donors receive in return. Before joining Purdue Athletics, Garris graduated from Auburn University in the summer of 2023 with a degree in Business Analytics and a minor in Sports Communication.
Originally from Orlando, Florida, Garris now calls West Lafayette home. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and football with his friends and is an avid follower of these sports at both collegiate and professional levels. His passion for working within sports, particularly with the Boilermakers, is evident in his daily enthusiasm and welcoming demeanor at the office.
