2012: Placed first at the Purdue Open (4/27-4/28) in the pole vault with a jump of 3.40 meters. Competed for fourth place in the event at the Boilermaker Invite (2/18) and the Purdue Invitational (1/7). Jumped 3.30 meters at the Mike Poehlein Invitational (3/30-3/31) and the Purdue Dave Rankin Invitational (4/20-4/21), good for 7th and 5th place, respectively.

2010:Competed in four varsity meets (two indoors, two outdoors), including the Big Ten Indoor Championships; cleared her career best of 3.50 meters (11-05.75) at the Boilermaker Invitational.

High School:Four-year varsity letterwinner in track and field at Bishop Chatard High School; three-time Indiana State High School indoor champion in the pole vault, setting the state mark as a junior and senior; placed third at the outdoor state meet as a senior en route to Indiana All-Star honors; won four consecutive Indianapolis City Championships; qualified for the outdoor state meet as a junior and sophomore, placing ninth as a junior and 14th as a sophomore; led her team to an indoor state title as a senior.

Personal:Alex Metzger was born February 8, 1991, in Indianapolis, Ind.; is the daughter of Trinda and Doug Metzger; has two brothers, Nick and Zach; enjoys hanging out with friends, traveling, water and snow skiing and going to the beach; intends to major in sport and movement sciences with a focus in pre-law studies.
