Premium Seating FAQ's
What will the actual CLUB SEATS be like?
CLUB SEATS in the lower arena bowl will be similar to the Ross-Ade Buchanan or suite seats. They will be stationary with arm rests and faux leather. There will be cup holders and expanded leg room.
What will the actual COURTSIDE SEATS be like?
The Rows 2-4 seat will be a larger, "theater-style" cushioned seat, complete with chair-side table. The Row 1 seat will be a replica of the chair used by the teams.
What is the price for premium seats for men's and women's basketball?

Any donor that purchases men's premium seats will have the option to have women's premium seats for the cost of the women's season ticket.
Are parking and tickets included in the CLUB SEAT or COURTSIDE SEAT price?
Parking and tickets are not included in the Premium Seating "Seat License Fee." Because the number of home games varies each season, the cost of the ticket will be computed annually and paid separately with parking. Parking location will be based on John Purdue Club membership level as it has been in the past.
Will there be private restrooms for CLUB SEAT and COURTSIDE SEAT licensees?
CLUB SEAT licensees will have access to private restrooms in the Spurgeon Club. COURTSIDE SEAT licensees will have access to private restrooms in the Spurgeon and the John R. Wooden Club.
Will the food sold in the Spurgeon Club and John R. Wooden Club be upscale and priced separately?
Food will include both regular game day fare and upscale selections. Food will be priced separately from the CLUB SEAT and COURTSIDE SEAT license. This will allow licensees the ability to purchase food if they want, but it will not be required. The menu will be dependent upon the time of the game.
Will alcohol be available for licensees?
CLUB SEAT licensees will be able to purchase alcohol in the Spurgeon Club. COURTSIDE SEAT licensees will be able to purchase alcohol in the John R. Wooden Club or the Spurgeon Club. The John R. Wooden Club is open to COURTSIDE SEAT licensees only. The Spurgeon Club is open to COURTSIDE and CLUB SEAT licensees only. Both clubs will open 2 hours prior to the game and will have a full bar. At halftime, only beer and wine will be sold in the Spurgeon Club. The John R. Wooden Club will continue to have a full bar. Alcohol must remain in the Club area and sales will cease at the first timeout of the second half.
How many CLUB SEATS are there?
The number of CLUB SEATS at this time is 506 regular seats + 8 ADA seats + 8 guest seats for a total of 522 seats.
How many COURTSIDE SEATs will there be and how many in each row?
The number of COURTSIDE SEATS as of November 1, 2010:
1st Row: 18 regular seats + 2 ADA seat + 2 guest seat + 4 media seats = 26 seats
2nd Row: 12 regular seats +2 ADA seats = 14 seats
3rd Row: 14 regular seats
4th Row: 12 regular seats
Total: 56 Regular seats + 4 ADA seats + 2 guest seats + 4 media seats = 66 seats
Is there a place to check coats for COURTSIDE and CLUB SEAT licensees?
Coat Storage in each club space is available.
What are the tax implications of having a premium seat license in Mackey Arena?
80 percent of the net value will be tax deductible from the license fee for Men's Basketball only.
Will there be special pricing for donors who purchase both men's and women's premium seats?
Yes, any donor that purchases men's premium seats will have the option to have women's premium seats for the cost of the women's season ticket only.
What will the length of the contract be for CLUB/COURTSIDE SEATS?
The contract lengths are 3, 5, 7, 10 or 20 years.
Will prices be locked in for the length of the contract?
No, prices will have a yearly escalator added to the base price. The escalator will be determined by the number of years committed to on a contract. The contract length and escalators are below.
3-year contract: 1.5 percent added to the base price each year
5-year contract: 1.25 percent added to the base price each year
7-year contract: .75 percent added to the base price each year
10-year contract: .25 percent added to the base price each year
20-year contract: 0 percent added to the base price each year
Will there be any discounts given to those making a "lump-sum" or "upfront" payment?
Prices for those making lump sum payments will be discounted. Discount amounts will be decided based on the CPI at the time the lump sum payment is made.
Will a minimum annual seat contribution to the annual fund for scholarships be required in order to license a CLUB or COURTSIDE SEAT?
Yes, for Men's Basketball membership at the All-American level and above in the JPC is required. For Women's Basketball membership at the first team level of the JPC and above is required.
How do we select seats?

Will there be premium seating limits by membership level?
Yes. The number of lower arena seats (club, courtside and regular) a member can purchase is as follows:
Champion - 12
Olympian - 10
All-American - 8
MVP - 4 (no lower)
Captain - 2 (no lower)
First Team - 2 (no lower)
Please note if a member purchased greater than the number of tickets above during the 2009-10 season, he/she will be allowed to order up to that same number in 2011-12 as long as seats are still available.
How will people order to be seated with others (groups)?
Those wishing to sit with others must place their orders at the same time. The seating priority must be sequenced in line with the member who has the lowest number of priority points.
