Team Highlights
- The Boilermakers look to continue their undefeated home streak, after starting the season on a four game homestand.
- Purdue claimed two ranked doubles wins this past weekend vs Cornell. At No. 1 doubles, Juan David Velasquez and Aleksa Krivokapic beat No. 87 ranked Khosla/Verdes (6-2) while Maj Premzl and Henrik Villanger beat No. 85 ranked Papoe/Fernandes (6-3) at the No. 3 spot.
- Pairing up at the No. 1 spot with Aleksa Krivokapic in doubles, he secured his first win versus a ranked opponent this season and the fourth of his career. Velasquez is 5-0 so far this season in doubles play and 9-2 since the start of the fall season.
- Premzl, a freshman, improved his singles record to 5-0 with a dominating 6-2, 6-1 win over Cornell's Aman Sharma. He picked up his second ranked doubles win with his partner Henrik Villanger.
- Back in the doubles lineup for the second straight match, Henrik Villanger and his partner Maj Premzl helped to secure the doubles point vs. Cornell last weekend. He got his first win at doubles this season and picked up his first doubles win against a ranked opponent.
Scouting Western Michigan
- The Broncos are 6-3 this season and have won three of their last four matches, with losses against Wisconsin, #23 Michigan State, and Notre Dame.
- Western Michigan's No. 1 singles player Anton Arzhankin is 7-2 in singles this spring and was named the MAC Singles Player of the Week on February 4th.
